Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Admission into the regular MBA program offered by B-schools in the state closes at midnight Tuesday. Those who missed the bus still have the option of doing the MBA course in open and distance modes.

The Center for Open and Distance Education, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) entity, was recently granted permission to run a two-year MBA and MCA program from the University Grants Commission.

“The center has invited online applications via davv.mponline.gov.in no later than November 13. The counseling and admissions process will take place on November 14 and 15,” said the center’s director Prof Pratosh Bansal.

In regular MBA courses, nearly 90 to 95 percent of B school vacancies in the city have been filled but the college is looking for one more round of counseling to fill the remaining vacancies.

Citing Diwali celebrations, director of Shri Jain Diwakar College Dr Narendra Dhakad said, “Most of the students have returned to their hometowns because of Diwali so many of them were unable to participate in the college level counseling (CLC) round, the date of which clashed with the festival.”

MBA acceptance from the CLC finals continues until midnight on Tuesday.

Students whose names are on the merit-selected student list submit fees and documents for confirmation of admission. Registration for the second round of CLC is allowed until 11:45pm Tuesday while the entry window is open until midnight.

Since the admission process is done online, students are not required to be present at the college for the CLC round.

With this final round, admission to the MBA program has closed.

As per information, almost all the seats in the core MBA program offered by Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) through IMS and IIPS have been filled. At Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government Arts and Commerce College also known as GACC, all seats in the MBA program are filled. The same thing happened in about 10 leading B schools in the city.

This year, the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has provided four rounds of counseling for admission to the MBA program, two rounds of centralized online and two rounds of college-level counseling (CLC).
