Trepang2 is an upcoming first-person shooter from Trepang Studios and Team17 Digital. If you’ve ever wanted to see what a proper spiritual successor to FEAR looks like, this is it. Trepang2 looks absolutely insane with tons of destruction, movement options and superpowers. It was supposed to come out this year but was recently pushed back to 2023. Anyway, there are some PC details we can look at while we wait for the release. Here are the official Trepang2 System Requirements.

To play the game on PC, you need the following specifications.

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows 7 64 bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i series/AMD Ryzen
  • Memory: 4 GB of RAM
  • Graphics: Geforce 650/Radeon HD 7750 or better
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 35 GB available space
  • Additional Notes: Most likely will run on slightly lower specs on low graphics settings. More optimization is coming soon.

  • OS: Windows 10 64 bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i-series/AMD Ryzen with 4 or more cores
  • Memory: 16 GB of RAM
  • Graphics: GTX 1070/RX 580 or better
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 35 GB available space

The requirements are a bit vague about the CPU and list it to have 4 or more cores. CPU aside, you only need something like an RX 580 to play the title at higher settings. If you’re willing to turn down some settings, even a Geforce 650, a pretty old card, should be fine.

Apart from that, you need a total of 35 GB to install the title and 16 GB of RAM. Windows 7 users will be happy to know that the game supports that OS as well.

The Trepang2 demo has been available for quite some time now, and if you want to see how the game works on PC right now, you can easily download that via Steam. It certainly looks a lot better on higher settings, and seeing all the destruction at a higher frame rate is quite a sight.
