“It is intended for anyone attending the Midlands Machinery Show, especially those who are planning to take a lorry driving course in the future. It’s a great chance to try.”

Visitors will also have the opportunity to drive on a 4×4 track in a Ford Ranger Wildtrak driven by a professional Ford driver.

The vehicle will be based outside the Lady Eastwood Center and visitors wishing to book a ride can call into the Woldmarsh stand inside the building or the static 4×4 display outside Stanley Sheldon Hall.

“Ford Ranger Wildtrak has a bold, purposeful exterior design and an elegant, high-tech, attractive interior. It offers a choice of proven and durable diesel powertrains, including the addition of a powerful Ford V6 turbodiesel,” said Phaedra Bryant of Woldmarsh.

“The upgraded chassis and suspension provide excellent ride and handling, whether you’re riding with passengers, fully loaded or towing. Its cargo compartment has increased functionality and better access.

“We’re delighted to be able to run the 4×4 course this year after missing it in 2019, so we hope show goers can make the most of it.”

Plus there will be a new kid on the block – with the chance to drive an Ineos Grenadier on the Chandlers stand.

“There will be three cars driving around the track and one static new Ineos Grenadier for potential customers to look at,” added Gavin Pell, managing director of Chandlers.

“Customers can pre-book a trip in one of these exciting new off-road 4×4 vehicles, accompanied by one of our team, or choose a professional Ineos driver to get a taste of these off-road experiences. vehicles are capable.”

People over 25 years old with a full driver’s license will be able to take a test drive on their own.

Visitors interested in test driving should contact the Chandler team in advance at the Belton or Horncastle depots or queue on the day.

Events, Shows and Development Manager Elizabeth Halsall said: “We are delighted to be able to bring back the 4×4 course.

“This provides a unique opportunity for visitors to the Midlands Machinery Show to experience state-of-the-art vehicles.”
