The Best Games available on PC as of August 20, 2022
In August 2022 the top PC games played with the most active monthly users included Minecraft as well as the Sims 4 and Fortnite. Minecraft took the top spot as the most played game on desktop and laptops in August, stealing the position over Roblox.
League of Legends also overtook Roblox and was ranked in the top five. Other titles that make the list of the top 10 PC games include Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Valorant, Grand Theft Auto V, Fall Guys and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare/Warzone.
The most popular Games and the most significant Movers
The top gaming rankings on PC were largely consistent; however, there were some minor changes. The biggest players for the month of March were Roblox and Fall Guys.
The Fall Guys, a platform game from Epic Games, which was released at the end of 2020. fell after the spike in July by seven positions and came in 9th place.
Roblox fell from the top spot in July, and was ranked 6 in August 2022.
Valve’s first-person shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive rose three positions and climbed to number 4.

Riot Games is the only publisher to have two video games within the Top 10 PC gaming rankings.
The top three publishers in terms of the number of games included in the top 20 PC games include:
Electronic Arts with three games on the top spot
Two games in the rankings: Activision Blizzard, Riot Games (owned by Tencent), Epic Games and Valve
One game in the rankings: Mojang Studios (owned by Microsoft), Roblox Corporation, Rockstar Games (owned by Take-Two Interactive Software), Psyonix (owned by Epic Games), Ubisoft, Bungie, miHoYo, Warner Bros. Games, Battlestate Games
