Drake Given $8000 Gaming PC By Twitch Streamer Xposed | Biden News

Drake's computer

While you’ll all be aware that celebrities, despite their wealth, get expensive shit for free all the time, today we’re going to look at one gift in particular. Partly because it’s a gaming PC, but also because we have the receipt for it too.

Esports guy Jake Lucky tweeted earlier today, and it certainly provoked a reaction:

Responses in the responses generally ranged from, “It looks like shit,” to, “That’s massively overpriced,” to, “lmao all just to gamble,” (more on that soon). That first feeling might be a bit much. I think this looks great! It’s a gaming PC, which is what you’d expect, and the white lighting in these photos is infinitely classier looking than the electronic clown car aesthetic you often see on these types of systems. I especially like the lighting around the fans, it’s very “starship corridor”.

It looks like something major from Alien Isolation, so I dig it

As for the price, well, there are a few caveats here. The computer—which was composed of Paradox Customs— was actually bought for Drake as a gift by streamer Xposed. (Paradox tells Kotaku that they “hacked” the component selection together.) In the time between the order first being placed and the computer arriving, the market for many expensive computer parts crashed for a reason. Throw in some Canadian taxes that Xposed had to pay and Paradox says the actual cost in July 2022 is somewhere closer to $6,500. Which, you know, is still ridiculously expensive for a computer, but it’s not $8,000 either.

How do we know that? Paradox tweeted this earlier today, which easily also gives us a chance to look at the kind of specs you can expect to see on a PC that costs more than my last three desktops combined.

As for who paid for the system and why, Xposed actually chose this exact system for himself, then says he ordered a second one for Drake because he helped the rapper with an earlier computer, but at the time had to save up and get him. “pre-built by Best Buy because it was short notice”:

In December 2021, Xposed signed a partnership agreement with Stakea shady and controversial online gambling and sports betting website which Drake just happens to be constantly stream and advertise at the same timeand who shared this new arrival of computers on their social networks.
