IMPHAL, October 30 : Thoubal District Polo Association (TDPA) thumped KRYPHSA Polo Team 9-3 as Chingkheihunba Polo Club (CHPC) defeated Pony Care Centre-Kumbi 14-0 today to enter last-16 round of the ongoing 36th N Hazari and Dr N Tombi State Polo Tournament.
In the first match of the day, TDPA rode on four goals from Kirankumar and three goals from Naoba to beat KRYPHSA Polo Team 9-3.
Kangjam Premkumar scored all three goals, one each in the first three chukkers for the losing side.
Later in the day, CHPC got off to a flying start as they raced to a 7-0 first chukker lead before cutting to a 10-0 lead by halftime and adding four goals in the latter half.
O Rozer shone in the game with four goals as Th Kaoba and L Thomson scored three goals each.
K Yaikhomba also registered two goals for the team as Th Basanta and M Secondro added a goal each.
The two teams will play in the last 16 stage of the competition.
