By Geoffrey Ciani: Every boxing fan enjoys the thrill of winning.
In the long history of professional boxing there have been many interesting balls presented by many famous artists. But which achievements in history are the most remarkable of all time? A recent series of Boxing Research attempts to answer this question.
The survey was conducted in the Classic Section of BoxingForum24.com where 25 volunteers each provided a list of what they each considered to be the 25 Greatest Knockouts of all time. Each of those lists have a weighted rating system applied to them, where a 1st place result is worth more than 25 votes (the system is similar to the scoring system used in previous studies). A total of 243 unique achievements were cited in this study.
For the purposes of this study, it does not matter whether the result is officially KO or TKO. But in a TKO situation, the losing fighter is probably thrown in the direct direction of the ref (or corner) waving it off. (This is exclusive to fighters who include an opponent who has never landed and is stopped on his feet).
Out of 243 impressive knockouts, this video will focus on the top 50 from those results, where it will show some of the greatest of the great artists, including George Foreman, Mike Tyson, Rocky Marciano, Thomas Hearns, and Julian Jackson just to name a few.
This edition of Rummy’s Corner will provide a list of the Top 50 most interesting rummy rounds in the long history of professional boxing, based on the results of this survey. Please watch and enjoy the video analysis. This is Rummy’s Corner (produced and narrated by Geoffrey Ciani).
