By Sean Jones: Eddie Hearn says Canelo Alvarez still wants to fight Dmitry Bivol after losing to him last May. Canelo still wants revenge for what Bivol did to him earlier this year, schooling the Mexican star and making him look like a one-size-fits-all boxer from start to finish at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

You can’t blame Canelo’s loss on the taller Bivol because he was outclassed in this fight. Bivol didn’t try to beat Canelo like Gennadiy Golovkin tried to do in their first fight in 2017.

Bivol boxed Canelo and used mistakes in his game. It’s just a read by Bivol and Canelo’s loss won’t be forgotten in a hurry. Canelo truly wants revenge and tells you that he still fondly remembers that terrible night.

Hearn stated that if Bivol (20-0, 11 KOs) successfully defends his WBA light heavyweight title. Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez on November 5th, Canelo (59-2-1, 39 KOs) will want to fight him.

Beating the slow-moving Zurdo Ramirez won’t be a problem for Bivol because this guy is fighting from an inferior class.

Ramirez is a slow cruiserweight at this point in his career, and he’s doing himself a disservice by trying to keep himself at 175, a division his body wasn’t designed to compete in.

It’s like a fat person starving for size that isn’t built for growth. They look wrong. Once Bivol dominates Ramirez on Nov. 5 in Abu Dhabi, Canelo will have a chance for revenge.

“The Bivol fight, before the Canelo fight, was a 50-50 fight,” Eddie Hearn told Fight Hub TV about Canelo Alvarez’s loss at the hands of Dmitry Bivol last May.

“Because of the win against Canelo Alvarez, I think you have to say that Bivol is a little bit. But when he was in Abu Dhabi for the press conference, he [Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez] he was great.

“He was heavy at the time, but still, he’s a big 175-pounder, Zurdo. But Bivol is full of confidence. You have to put Bivol on the pound-for-pound list right now after his win over Canelo Alvarez.

“I feel like it’s a great fight, one of the best fights of the year. I think if Bivol wins, Canelo really isn’t interested in a world title at 175. He wants to fight because he wants to avenge his defeat.

“I think if Bivol wins the fight, he can fight Canelo Alvarez. If Zurdo wins, maybe he can fight Beterbiev. For Canelo, it’s not about fighting Zurdo. He loves Bivol, the man who beat himbut who knows?

“Canelo has the best resume in boxing. I can’t believe people are asking about Canelo Alvarez’s resume. Just write it down on a piece of paper or read the names he’s fought over and over,” Hearn said. .
