The famous boxer Bob Arum criticized his brother Eddie Hearn, where he blamed him for the collapse of the negotiations between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua for a rematch in a major fight to be held in the heavyweight division.
Fans have been hoping for years to see the two British superstars – two-time world champions – meet in the ring.
That prospect resurfaced when WBC champion Fury (32 wins, 1 draw) briefly retired after his recent victory over Dillian Whyte, where he fought money and score 24-3 Joshua.
But negotiations between Fury’s promoter Arum and Joshua A Hearn have broken down, with Fury now set to defend his world title against Derek Chisora on December 3.

And speaking to Fox Sports’ Main Event Podcast, Arum didn’t hold back on Hearn for his role in the failed negotiations.
Arum said: “Of course Fury wanted to fight Joshua. And I really believe Joshua wants to fight Fury.
“But his promoter Eddie Hearn has been slow because he doesn’t care about this fight. Because Joshua has lost three times in his last five fights, and putting him in a fight like Fury is a little reckless. “

Arum claims that Hearn has ‘no intention’ of making a deal.
“I think Eddie said he’s interested, but we can’t get documents back, we can’t contact (him).
“I’ve been in this business for over 60 years, so I know when an advertiser isn’t willing to fight.
“As far as I am concerned, there is no problem, once the 60/40 division (of the purse) is agreed upon, and the television stations agree on who will do it, there are no other issues.
“I mean, just bring back the contract and sign it! But that turned out to be impossible because Hearn didn’t want the fight to happen.
“Honestly, I can’t blame him but he shouldn’t be so negative about what he did.”

If he is the one taking care of Joshua, Arum said he will: “Give him a fight and come back with confidence.” He was a good fighter even though he hasn’t shown it lately.
“After losing twice to (Oleksandr) Usyk, who is a little bit younger, and losing one of the two to Andy Ruiz, who is not the biggest fighter in the world, it’s great from Joshua, although he continued to be very popular in the league. Great Britain.”

Arum said Usyk was a big challenge for Fury, but he backed the ‘Gypsy King’ to win again.
“I spoke today with Usyk’s manager, both of them are very good friends of mine, Usyk and his manager Egis Klimas. Egis takes care of Lomachenko and Usyk is Lomachenko’s best friend and he comes to all of Loma’s fights so I know him very well.
“We hope that this fight can be done at the end of February, beginning of March.”
