Ciara revealed on Instagram that she will be performing with Walker Hayes at the Country Music Awards on Friday.
The 36-year-old R&B star made the announcement Wednesday by posting a video of her dancing on a tarmac in what appeared to be the middle of nowhere.
‘Sissy going country yal,’ she captioned the post. ‘Ahhhh!! Performing with my son @walkerhayes on Friday! @CMT Artist of the Year Awards! Turn on!’
Going country: Ciara, 36, revealed on Instagram that she will be performing with Walker Hayes at the Country Music Awards, airing this Friday on CMT

The multi-platinum singer’s arsenal of contemporary R&B hits first burst onto the music scene in 2004 with her debut studio album, Goodies.
This new announcement could signal a change in the hitmaker’s life and career.
The 1,2 Step singer’s flirtation with country music came during a trip to Colorado with her husband Russell Wilson, 33.
Ciara and her star quarterback moved to the outer Centennial state over the summer so he could play for the Denver Broncos, and perhaps the move inspired a new passion for country music.

“So far, Denver has been incredible,” Ciara told People in July. ‘I think I will definitely become an outside girl.’
But sometimes the outside has been too close for comfort. ‘I encountered a snake,’ said the superstar. ‘We have geese on our lawn that I’m chasing because I don’t like goose poop.’
‘Tis moth season,’ added the singer. ‘Literally, we open our door, and a handful of moths fall down.’ And yet the nature surrounding the Level Up singer’s new city has apparently fueled his creativity. ‘I’m inspired by that, honestly,’ she said.
Married in 2016, Ciara and Wilson share two children together, daughter Sienna Princess, 5, and son Wynn Harrison, 1. The glamorous singer also has a son, Future Zahar, 8, from her previous relationship with rapper Future.
The multi-hyphenate met the former Seattle Seahawk at a Wisconsin basketball game in 2015, leading to a dinner date that ignited their romance. ‘Next thing I knew…’ Wilson said on Instagram Live, ‘I’m sold to you.’
Denver’s New Queen: The 1,2 Step singer’s flirtation with country music comes as she moves to Colorado with her star quarterback husband, and perhaps the move has inspired a new passion for country music.
Multi-hyphenate Superstar: Ciara is famous for her commanding stage presence, dancing skills and breathy soprano voice. He cites Michael Jackson as his biggest influence
Two-time BET Award winner Walker Hayes is booked to perform. The country pop singer has released three studio albums, his most recent being Country Stuff in January of this year. That album debuted at number nine on the Billboard 200 and became Walker’s first top 10 album.
It would be an interesting pairing as Ciara is known for her commanding stage presence, dancing skills and breathtaking soprano voice. He cited Michael Jackson as his biggest influence, saying of the legendary icon in MTV’s tribute special A Celebration of Michael Jackson: ‘Whenever someone asks me who inspires me to do what I do, I always say Michael.’
‘It’s for me,’ Ciara said of the late Billie Jean singer. ‘She’s everything to me.’ Alongside Walker Hayes, the R&B powerhouse is set to take center stage on one of country music’s biggest nights. Viewers can tune in and watch the performance on Friday, October 14 on CMT.
