K-pop boy band, TXT, has been nominated for the MTV Europe Music Awards 2022 (MTV EMA).
Based on the list of nominations released on October 12, 2022, TXT is the only group from the K-pop genre to be considered for the Best Asia Act award. This is the first time the group has received a nomination at the MTV EMAs since their debut in 2019.
The MTV Europe Music Awards was formerly known as the MTV European Music Awards and is commonly referred to by its acronym, the MTV EMAs. The awards are a set of awards presented annually by the Paramount International Network to recognize outstanding achievements in popular music and individual artists.
BLACKPINK and BTS stand out among the other K-pop bands nominated for the MTV EMAs

Seventeen, meanwhile, is nominated for a total of three awards this year The band is competing for the Best New, Best Push and Best K-Pop awards. Earlier this year, the thirteen-member group made history by winning Best Push Performance at MTV’s Video Music Awards.
BTS, who dominated last year’s edition of the MTV EMAs by winning all the nominated categories, once again came out on top in the three biggest categories.
