Stingray Radio’s Chris Batstone has been named Music NL’s Media Personality of the Year.
Batstone was one of several winners at Music NL’s Industry Awards, handed out at Corner Brook on Friday night.

The 46th annual Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival has named Event of the Year, with Mary Beth Waldrum named Art Professional of the Year.
Rosalind McPhail was named Music Educator of the Year, Atlantic Music was named Outstanding Company, and Michelle Lacour was named Recording Engineer/Producer of the Year.
The Ship Pub was named Venue of the Year, and Volunteer of the Year went to Alec Swick.
Three honorary awards were also handed out: these included John Clarke who received the Unsung Hero Award, Darren White who received the Dennis Parker Industry Builder Award and Don and Cathy Hoyer of Sound Symposium fame who received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The MusicNL celebration week ends tonight with their Artist Awards Gala.
