Lizzo is about to make history in the Metaverse.
Logitech revealed that it will be working with the “The Truth Hearts” singer for their second annual Song Breaker Awards that will premiere on Roblox. And, what’s more, it Said to be “the first music awards show in the metaverse”.
Lizzo will be joined by special hosts Bratman Rock, Jaden Smith and more. Those who tune in can look forward to Lizzo performing her new single “Special.”
Statement from Lizzo, according to a press release:
“I’m excited to make my Metaverse debut with Logitech and perform ‘Special,’ a song that means a lot to me. As a musician and creator, I love that the Logitech Song Breaker Awards Show recognizes the unique talents of all creators and how each of them is influencing pop culture and music.”
The Song Breaker Awards will honor 10 creators who have influenced pop music
Logitech’s Song Breaker Awards aim to promote creators who are reinventing pop music through dance challenges, memes and trends posted on social giant TikTok and YouTube.
According to a press release, 10 creators will receive their flowers at the upcoming showcase, including BIPOC creators Drea Mack, JuicyJ, Tracy Joseph and Vano 3000.
Awards will begin on Saturday at 1 pm EST.
A Lizzo and Logitech reunion
Logitech’s reunion with Lizo comes just months after their first joint venture.
As AfroTech previously reported, Lizzo initially premiered “specially” for Logitech’s #DefyLogic campaign.
As with upcoming showcases, the creative campaign gives Lizzo the opportunity to connect with influencers.
“So it was really a great metaphor for me, like, ‘How do you work this camera,’ and then I jump into this world to be free and then dance and then fly into the sky and witness all of this. Connect with other great creators and be amazed by them,” Lizzo previously said, according to Forbes.
