Canadian Music Week And Canadian Live Music Association (CLMA) Held annually Canadian Live Music Industry Awards Tonight at Toronto’s El Mocambo, celebrating Canada’s live music sector across 19 categories. Hosted by Julie BlackIncludes electric live performances by the CLMAs Sam Drysdale, Preston Pablo, Reeve, Nobro And Julie Black.

Canadian Live Music Industry Awards Also recognized outstanding leadership and contribution to the live music sector with the following awards: Excellence in the development of musical “city”. City of London, Ontario; The Lifetime honors to Jeff Cohen of Joint Concert; The Legends of Live Awards to Julie Black, the Canadian queen of R&B; And Canadian Live Music Industry Awards “Unsung Hero” Award Susie Greenall, President & CEO, Hotel Association of Canada and Beth Potter, President & CEO, Tourism Industry Association of Canada co-lead the Coalition of Hardest Hit Businesses (hardesthit.ca).

CLMA President & CEO Erin Benjamin, in his annual address, commented on the sector’s resilience and passion, acknowledging the efforts of the entire community. “We’re on our way back to being the best, most incredible live music market and concert destination in the world. Today does not mark the end of a journey… but the beginning of one.”
