MBA admissions at B-schools continue until midnight | Biden News

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): MBA admissions after the final round of college-level counseling continued into midnight on Tuesday even as B-schools kept crossing as they demanded one more round of counseling.

The students whose names are shown in the student list are selected on the basis of the proposed fee and documents for confirmation of admission. Registration for the second round of CLC is allowed until 11:45pm Tuesday while the entry window is open until midnight.

Since the admission process is done online, students are not required to be present at the college for the CLC round.

With this final round, admission to the MBA program has closed.

As per information, almost all the seats in the core MBA program offered by Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) through IMS and IIPS have been filled. At Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government Arts and Commerce College also known as GACC, all seats in the MBA program are filled. The same thing happened in about 10 leading B schools in the city.

There are nearly 60 B-schools in the city which have more than 10,000 seats. Of these, about 90 to 95 percent of the seats have been filled.

This year, the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) provided four rounds of counseling for admission to the MBA program, two rounds of centralized online and two rounds of college-level counseling (CLC).

The first online round is for candidates who have taken the general admissions management test (CMAT) while the second round is based on CMAT and non-CMAT candidates.

Registration for the first round of CLC was held from October 19 to 21 and registration was released on October 22. Registration for the second round of CLC will close at 23:45 and the reporting time for confirmation of acceptance is 23:59 on Tuesday.

As the admissions window closed on Tuesday evening, the city’s colleges demanded one more round of CLC as both rounds of CLC were hit because of Diwali celebrations. “Most of the students have returned to their hometowns because of Diwali so many of them were unable to participate in the CLC round, whose dates clashed with the festival,” said Arihant College CEO Kavita Kasliwal.
