It looks like we might be in for a surprise, as Phil Spencer has been teasing a huge update for the Xbox App on PC, and it’s coming soon.
Big Xbox App Update Coming to PC Soon
According to Phil Spencer during a recent Episode of the Same Brain Podcast, the Xbox App on PC is expected to receive a major update, which is coming in “a couple of weeks”.
There is no exact mention of what exactly comes as part of the update, but it could point to the addition of new features along with the usual bugs. Some speculation points to the ability to play xCloud games with a mouse and keyboard instead of just a controller, and fixes related to syncing Xbox App accounts at EA.
One thing is for sure, Phil Spencer agrees that PC is playing a big role in the gaming space and they are doing more work in this area than before. They certainly won’t forget about their consoles, as the Xbox Series X / S will get a UI overhaul next year, but at least they’re doing more for PC gaming now.

Poké definition: I still don’t use the Xbox app much, but if the update is really that important, I’d reconsider. I am at least aware that recent updates have improved it a lot compared to before.
