Dune: Spice Wars will join the PC Game Pass lineup “soon,” Microsoft announced along with publisher Funcom and developer Shiro Games.
The 4X strategy game first launched in Early Access for PC via Steam on April 26.
The PC Game Pass release will arrive at the same time as the main “Sand & Air” update, which adds new features, units and more.

Since its world premiere announcement during The Game Awards last December, Dune: Spice Wars entered early access on April 26 allowing Shiro Games to refine its ambitious strategy game with the goal of a full release in 2023. Now with its arrival soon with PC Game Pass, Dune: Spice Wars will be able to rely on more players to help continue this journey.
Set in the universe of dune created by Frank Herbert, Dune: Spice Wars is a 4X real-time strategy game that allows you to choose your faction and launch yourself into a war for control of spice on the planet Arrakis. Whether you choose House Atreides, House Harkonnen, House Corrin, Smugglers, or Fremen, you’ll have access to specific bonuses that will dictate the best way to approach the game.
You will then need to recruit agents, build your first defenses and begin exploiting the territory around you before launching more dangerous expeditions into areas beyond your control. Dune: Spice Wars also requires politics and good relations with the Imperium—it’s up to you to decide how to interact with the cities of Arrakis, whether through diplomacy or force, and above all to pay your spice taxes…otherwise your place in the Landsraad could be. endangered
