Sackboy: Big Adventure has had a relatively slow life on PC, Steam data suggests.

According to independent data tracker SteamDB, the game has a maximum concurrent player count of 610 since it hit Valve’s platform on October 27.

Although it is worth noting that the LittleBigPlanet series has never been one of Sony’s best franchises, the figure is drastically lower than the other PlayStation first-party PC games managed, and at the time of publication the title is ranked at No.863 in terms of to concurrent players, with a total of 386.

In comparison, Horizon Zero Dawn debuted on Steam to a peak of around 56,000 players and Spider-Man attracted around 66,000. God of War managed an even higher peak of around 73,000 players and Days Gone attracted around 27,000 during its release weekend.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, which also released for PC this month, was PlayStation’s weakest first-party launch on Steam before Sackboy, with a peak of 10,851 concurrent players.

Another high-profile 3D platformer, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, was released on Steam on October 18 and has a peak concurrent player count of 274. While the total is less than half that of Sackboy, Activision’s game is available for PC since then. March 2021 via Battle.net.

It’s also worth noting that Sackboy was released one day before Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which is expected to be one of the best-selling games of this year and next and attracted a peak 263,174 concurrent players on Steam.

Like Sony’s other PC ports, Sackboy is also available through the Epic Games Store.

Originally released for PS4 and PS5 in 2020, Sackboy: Big Adventure is a 3D platformer developed by LittleBigPlanet 3 and LittleBigPlanet Vita studio Sumo Digital.

VGC’s review of Sackboy: Big Adventure called it an innovative platformer that takes advantage of the PS5’s exclusive features.

Sony is in the process of ramping up its PC game output, with Spider-Man Miles Morales due out in November and a leaked PC version of Returnal almost confirmed.

PlayStation boss Jim Ryan said in May that Sony expects half of its annual releases to be on PC and mobile by 2025.
