Thanks to this collaboration of the dream team, the second-generation truck with an all-new design will be one of the most versatile and well-balanced pickup trucks.

The debut of the 2022 Ford Ranger last year marked the launch of an all-new Volkswagen Amarok, given that it shares Ford DNA. The second-generation Amarok pick-up is based on the Ford Ranger, and it’s a real batch of pick-ups.

Volkswagen introduced the new Amarok on its Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge YouTube channel, calling it one of the most versatile and well-balanced pickup trucks. How does it differ from the best pickups on the market? Let’s take a closer look at this mighty beast.

The all-new Volkswagen Amarok also boasts an all-new design. That’s enough of a difference for Albert Kirzinger, head of design at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in Hanover, Germany, to say: “For the new generation, we’ve changed the design of the Amarok significantly. Now it is more expressive.”

Amarok aims to be significantly better than its predecessor. It will also feature an updated Ford T6 platform and plenty of luxury interiors inside.

The Amarok boasts more than 30 driver assistance systems and two different 4Motion all-wheel drive systems to choose from.

Under the hood, pickup enthusiasts will have a wide choice of engines, including the top-of-the-line 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 diesel that produces 247 horsepower.

Since 2010, Volkswagen has sold around 830,000 units of the original first-generation Amarok worldwide, so there’s a lot riding on the strong shoulders of this all-new Amarok.
