There’s no need for Ellerbe to be bitter now because there’s a good chance Haney (29-0, 15 KOs) will vacate his four heavyweight titles to avoid Lomachenko (16-2, 11 KOs) moving down to 140. he won’t mind being a talented former three-division world champion.
If/when Haney relinquishes his 135-lb belt, Lomachenko will go after the WBC, possibly against Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz, while the other belts are fought by Shakur Stevenson, Gustavo Lemos, and Michel Rivera.
Ellerbe pointed out that Arum is running things, and he won’t fight outside the home unless he has to.“win-win the current situation” for him.
It’s hard to ignore Ellerbe’s enthusiasm, as he can feel like someone on the outside looking in, knowing that the potential for his top flight Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis with Mayweather Promotions will never get a chance to fight for unusual competition because of how they handled the Baltimore natives so slowly.
Lomachenko and Haney have wanted to fight Tank Davis for years now with no luck, and now it’s to the point where they rarely mention it because it’s not going to happen.

If Mayweather Promotions is going to let Tank Davis fight quality opposition, they will try to set up a fight with Haney, Lomacchenko, or Shakur instead of Instagram/Youtube fighter Ryan Garcia.
