Keith Thurman has “everything to get” Spence Fight Mistake Says Tim Bradley | Biden News

By Dan Ambrose: Tim Bradley says Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman has everything to gain in his WBC-booked fight against IBF/WBA/WBC welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr.

Bradley felt there was a great opportunity for former WBA / WBC 147-lb Thurman (30-1 22 KOs) to get a title shot and a big payday with Spence (28-0, 22 KOs).

With that said, Bradley is predicting that Thurman will hit Spence, which will take him to the body, which will prove to be his injury.

Thurman’s lack of work since his comeback in 2017 has hurt his game, and it’s not a bad thing that he’s only fought three times in the last five years. Although Thurman blames much of his lack of performance on his injuries, you can’t guess he’s been injured for the past five years.

“It’s going to happen,” Tim Bradley told KO Artist Sports about the Spence Jr. vs. Terence Crawford fight. “These people are now a business. They fought the people they needed to face, the champions.

“It’s a business, and if the business isn’t right, a fight can’t happen. I believe they need each other. Both of these guys need each other, and if a fight happens, I’ll be there.

“I want to see this fight first. I will be right there. So, my dears, be with us. There is much more than boxing to watch. Don’t think of a fight; let it be, and when it hits, be ready.

“Obviously, it’s a good fight,” Bradley said of the WBC-mandated fight between Spence and Keith Thurman. “Thurman still has some relevance in sports, too Thurman had control. He can box and still have good legs.

“I don’t think it’s fair for him. You have a guy as weak as Spence, and Spence’s specialty is physicality. That’s Thurman’s weakness. We’ve seen Thurman hurt physically many times.

“He was hurt by 140 pounds [Mario Barrios] his last time. Barrios was injured in his body. What do you think Spence will do? He is going down. He will try the kitchen. He will have a job.

“It’s a tough style of play, but I think he stopped Keith Thurman. I don’t know what round, but I’m telling you right now, he’s going to stop him. That pressure is endless. Yeah, that’s definitely going to be a statement.

“The time has come. I think Thurman is the right time for him now for Spence. Despite [Thurman] looking for that big payday, big challenge. He managed to challenge three belts. It is a great opportunity for him.

“He’s got everything to earn, and he can get paid in the process, too,” Bradley continued talking about Thurman. “If he doesn’t win the fight, I think he will retire later. I don’t think there is any reason for him to continue fighting.

“He’s right at the door, bro. He was definitely at the door, and it was up to Spence to push him out. Yes, a new crop of welterweights is coming, younger and faster. You are not as fast as you used to be.

“You have reflexes and they start to go to the side of the road a little bit. You start to get a little bit of a kick. Those punches start to feel different when you’re hit in the gut. It doesn’t feel that way.

“These are young guys coming up, and they can fight. I tell you, [Jaron ‘Boots’] Ennis is a problem. [Vergil] Ortiz is a problem. I don’t even mess with [Conor] Benn is on that juice. He needs to leave this juice alone.

“What’s wrong with you? Haven’t you learned yet? Come on son. Leave it, bro. You don’t need that. Sit like that. You need to stop hanging around those guys in the gym. Persuading you to do some stupid things like that,” Bradley said of Conor Benn.
