By Robert Segal: Joe Joyce will return to action in March after his impressive victory over Joseph Parker last Saturday night.

There is no word on when Joyce will fight in March, but it looks like he will be her biggest opponent at 20. He may not be a fighter in Parker’s class as he has already established himself as the interim WBO champion.

Joyce is now awaiting his title fight against heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk. He won’t blow this chance to fight someone dangerous.

Joyce (15-0, 14 KOs) became the first man to knock out former WBO heavyweight champion Parker (30-3, 21 KOs). With a KO in the 11th at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England, Joyce accomplished what Anthony Joshua and Dilian Whyte failed to do.

“Usyk, Fury, maybe Joshua, I don’t know,” Joe Joyce told October Red Boxing when asked who was next for his fight in March. “If Usyk and Fury don’t want to fight me, then I will be promoted to WBO champion if they don’t want to fight me.

“From there, I can protect him or whatever. There are options. It feels good. I’m going to recover now, take a break and rest. It looks like maybe I’ll be out in March,” Joyce said.

“Tyson Fury will fight Usyk in February or March next year. I think Tyson Fury wins this fight,” Sam Jones told iFL TV. “Tyson can retire for a year or leave the WBO. Joe will be promoted to the WBO. Joe will be the heavyweight champion, and he deserves it.

“This match last night was worthy of winning the heavyweight world championship. Last night, thousands of people saw how beautiful it was. Now the British fans will be thinking, ‘I want to go to Joe Joyce’s fight night.’

Credit to Joseph Parker. He is the youngest. He was great, Joseph Parker, great. He is still a small guy. This shows how many goals Joseph Parker has.

“Tyson Fury looked at that and thought, ‘He’s going to give me a good run for my money. Joe Joyce is around 20 stone. Tyson Fury is not bullying Joe Joyce. There is no chance.

“He was able to get Joe out, though does not prevent him. Despite [Fury] he was on her for 12 rounds because Joe would be breathing down your neck for 12 rounds, hitting you in places you didn’t know existed,” Jones said.
