By Mark Eisner: WBO middleweight champion Janibek Alimkhanuly (12-0, 8 KOs) will put his title and undefeated record on the line tonight against challenger Denzel Bentley (17-1-1, 14 KOs) on ESPN+ from Palm Springs in Las Vegas. The main portion of the card on ESPN+ will begin at 11:00 PM ET

Interestingly, 27-year-old Bentley believes he is on the same level as 2016 Olympian Janibek, more or less, surprisingly this is a show. [read: mismatch] to accept the Kazakh.
If Bentley is lucky, he will make it past the second round, but that is highly doubtful. This fight has first or second all written all over it.
Janibek is in another galaxy in terms of talent compared to Bentley, and fans will see that right away tonight when the bell rings for the first round.

Is Janibek good for Bentley?
Bentley was exposed last year by fighters at the British level Felix Price, getting blown in three rounds. Cash is obviously nowhere near Janibek’s level, so that tells you what kind of fight we’re going to have tonight in the main event of this Top Rank Boxing Card.
In the co-feature, WBA female mininumweight champion Seniesa Estrada (22-0, 9 KO) defends against Jazmin Gala Villarino (6-1-2, 1 KO).

Denzel Bentley told Secondsout, discussing his fight with WBO middleweight champion Janibek Alimkhanuly tonight.
“I don’t think it’s a big leap because the people he’s beating are not better than the people I’m beating. Not much of a jump” said Bentley when asked how he will adjust to going from fighting the opposition he faces to dealing with a professional champion in Janibek.
“I am fighting a great fighter. He didn’t beat the champion to get the belt. This is not a shame for him, because as I said, he is a good warrior; He is an amazing hero.
“I don’t think there is much to say. He is a man of many possibilities, and he has not proved it yet. I’m not saying he’s not the same person, but he hasn’t proven it yet. Actually, I didn’t either.
“Besides that, he has all the media caps and a great fan base. We are both in the same situation. He is the champion who was promoted to world champion, which is good.
“But with 12 fights and no big names in his history. I don’t think we’re that far apart in that sense if that’s what you call a jump.
“I heard that, and I didn’t even care,” Bentley said when told that Danny Dignum, who Janibek had hit back, was impressed with his skills.
“Even if I don’t know and I see he’s in the Olympics. He’s been with guys from Britain. What’s the point? Not me. I don’t really care. I’m a little bit too.
“We’re going to trade skins and see who comes out on top, which I believe is going to be me. Not really,” Bentley said when worried about going the distance with Janibek in Las Vegas, where he has a spot. and compliments about it. “I was away from Linus on his home show.
“This does not mean anything. I have to do what I have to do and be successful. I don’t care that he is the big one and this and that, I stopped him.
“I don’t put such pressure on myself. You can do that and still not prevent it. I’m focused on what I’m going to do and what I’m doing and how I’m doing it,” said Bentley.
