Promoter Frank Warren has encouraged Anthony Joshua to take on two of his up-and-coming fighters, but warned the former heavyweight champion will ‘hit everyone’. Warren has already tried to secure a fight between Joshua and Tyson Fury in the Battle of Britain, but the talks fell through and instead the Gypsy King will return to the ring with veteran Derek Chisora in December.
Now Joshua is not expected to return to play until 2023 after losing twice in a row to Oleksandr Usyk from Ukraine. The 33-year-old will be preparing his way back to the World Cup and needs to rebuild his career after spoiling his results against the mixed-race Usyk.
While Joshua’s next opponent has not been announced, Warren believes Daniel Dubois and Joe Joyce – two of the most confident fighters in his promotion – will provide the perfect comeback for the former champion. However, Warren insists that Joshua will lose again if he really agrees to fight with one of the biggest heavyweights in the UK.
“Now I can start throwing Daniel Dubois and Joe,” Frank Warren told Sky Sports. “If he doesn’t fight with one of them, I think it will be difficult for them to sell anything and he won’t be able to say, ‘Why would I do this?’ I will tell you why, it will be mandatory.”

Meanwhile, Joyce remains a dangerous opponent for Joshua following his knockout victory over interim WBO titleholder Joseph Parker.
Warren plans to give Joshua two fights and his next fight could define his career. And Warren is convinced Joyce can fight any heavyweight as he prepares to return in February.
“Joe is very good [against Joseph Parker]he got great reviews from America because his fight was so big over there,” he said. He set himself. He and Tyson [Fury] it will be a big fight, [Deontay] Wilder is going to be a great fight, AJ. It will be out in February. It’s in a very good location.”
