By Barry Holbrook: Eddie Hearn believes there may have been contamination during Conor Benn’s testing that led to his positive test for the illegal drug clomiphene leading to the cancellation of his fight with Chris Eubank Jr.
Benn has already suspended his boxing license in the UK while the investigation is underway.
Hearn said he is confident the 26-year-old Benn (21-0, 14 KOs) is the “innocent,” and soon he will talk to the media about his case.
With that said, Hearn explained that the B-sample Benn collected by VADA may be the same as the A sample. Of course, this does not mean that contamination has not yet occurred during the testing process in the laboratory. – tests.
If Benn is found guilty, he will be suspended. With this being his first test, it is possible that he will receive a short ban instead of a long one, which some boxing fans have discussed.
“The problems in this number, surrounded by other experiments that have occurred, will result in a pollution decision some form in his testing,” said Eddie Hearn to ID Boxing.

“Everything that is in the result of this causes contamination in this. When I talk about contamination, contamination can happen in the lab. Contamination can happen in different ways during work.
“Sample B will only come back negative if there is an error or contamination in the laboratory. The product is the same. So 99.9 percent of the time, model B will be correct. Requested. I think he’ll be right back.
“This is another reason why I believe that he is innocent,” Hearn said of Benn’s lack of apology. “The easiest way in this situation for Conor Benn is to come up with an excuse that can get him off the hook or give him a short suspension.
“He doesn’t want to lie in this situation. I had this conversation with him in the office a dozen times, with his father, with Tony Sims. They were emotional, they were violent, they were all these different things, and I agree with this guy. Even because I have scientific information that you don’t have, that’s how I feel.
“So give him a chance, and he will come before you, but in the end, he has to reveal himself. The result is the result, and we have to get to the bottom of it.
