By Brian Webber: Eddie Hearn insists that Canelo Alvarez wants to avenge his loss to Dmitry Bivol last May.
Hearn said the loss to Canelo (58-2-2, 39 KOs) was eating him up inside, and it was very difficult.
Not only Canelo. Bivol could be the biggest obstacle blocking Canelo’s fight as he wants to fight Artur Beterbiev for an uncertain championship next.
If Bivol decides to fight Beterbiev next, he will need to wait until he is free.
“I think if he had a choice, I think he would want to be unmatched at 175,” Eddie Hearn told Fight Hub TV about Bivol. “Of course, for me to work with Canelo and Bivol, it will make sense to do this fight.
“I have to talk to Eddy Reynoso and Saul. No doubt, they should have watched this show. Teating a hat [for Canelo] he will eat it. He will want to avenge this defeat.
“Right now, he has a chance of revenge, and I think that’s what will put him ahead.

“I honestly don’t think Canelo cares about his business in terms of losing fights. I think he just wants big challenges. Knowing him, voluntary defense doesn’t really appeal to him unless he wants to fight someone.
“You can’t do all the time people want, to be honest,” said Dmitry Bivol after the fight. “If I do what people want, I might lose myself. I know I have good defense, I have good movement, I have good combinations, sharp combinations.
“I’m trying to do that, and I’m trying to make people like him. I don’t want to say bad things about my opponent, but people want to hear it.
“I want to show respect to people and say it through work in the ring, and I want people to accept this from me. I hope one day they will accept it,” said Bivol.
