Here is what the fighters said yesterday:

DAVID MORRELL JR.

“He’s probably the toughest opponent I’ve ever faced. He has faced some very good European fighters and I know how tough he is. But I came back to my house to show my love.

“I don’t think he is my most dangerous opponent, but I don’t underestimate him. Every fighter is dangerous and has reached this level for a reason. He’s been fighting hard and he’s getting the kicks but I’m facing this challenge like I’m going to.

“Right now I am concentrating on this fight. I’m not focusing on David Benavidez or any other fighter. I’m just focused on being successful on November 5th.

“I don’t care where we fight. The use of the home arena is not something I care about. It’s about two fighters there. Nothing has changed because of the location.

“I know that Kazakhstan has a great history of fighters, but I come from Cuba, which has a great history of fighters and I plan to honor that legacy.

“Power is going to be an issue but I don’t think it’s going to be the deciding factor. It’s going to be about being versatile and using power to your advantage.

“Aidos will see how Armory can be on November 5. I will be ready for whatever comes my way in this fight.

“Photography in Texas is nothing but amazing. I’m so happy to have the opportunity to train with my team here. It’s one of the best things that has ever happened to me and it’s allowed me to grow as an owner. struggle as I want.

“My dream is to fight David Benavidez. He said nobody wants to fight him, but here I am. I’m ready to fight.”

AIDOS YERBOSSYNULY

“The plan is to stop David Morrell Jr. We’re going to make that plan happen.

“Morrell is a professional fighter from the Cuban boxing school. He has a lot of experience and I respect him as a hero and a player. It’s nothing but respect until we get in the ring.

“I train like this for every opponent. I work as hard as I do for any fighter before Morrell. There was nothing special I had to do to prepare for David Morrell Jr.

“We are the descendants of nomadic warriors. We are not afraid of any challenge. We love the belt and it doesn’t matter that we are in his city. It is the path of a warrior.

“We do not rely on our own power. We calculate in our mind. Thinking is the most important thing in this battle.

“We need to get rid of the 168-pound division before we worry about anything else. I’m focusing on David Morrell Jr. We’re going to show our heart in this fight. I’m not giving up.

“Everybody wants to fight Canelo Alvarez for a payday. Besides David Morrell Jr., I also want to fight David Benavidez next. I want to prove myself and fight Canelo.

“Unbeaten means nothing. It’s about who you fight. I don’t feel like the guys Morrell fought were anything special.

“Fans can expect less words and more action. We don’t want to talk too much, but everyone will see what we’re up to.”
