Dalton Smith retained his British heavyweight title with a unanimous decision win over Kaisee Benjamin at the AO Arena in Manchester on Saturday.

He made sure to finish the battle well, even if he didn’t get the full victory he was looking for.

Smith won overall, 115-114, 116-113 and 117-112, and it was revealed afterwards that he had to overcome the effects of a chest infection before this fight.

Kamil Sokolowski He is a veteran heavyweight. He’s fought some of the toughest punches in the division and is always ready to unleash an upset against the odds.

But Fraser Clarke he knew he was facing the first test of his career. In the first round as Sokolowski advanced, Clark, the Olympic bronze medalist, landed some nice hooks to the body.

In the 10th round Denny was still hanging in there. But he’s gone, wasting time but eventually he’s smart enough to just focus on life. He reached the final bell and defended his English title on unanimous decisions, 95-94 twice and 97-92.

Vidal Riley send Ross McGuigan with a merciless third round knockdown, hitting a heavy weight on the side of the Peckham man’s head to drop him on the seat of his shorts.
