The British Boxing Authority said Conor Benn had his boxing license revoked on October 21, admitting “allegations of misconduct”.
Earlier in October, the BBoC confirmed that Benn was under investigation by the UK Anti-Doping Agency (UKAD) after he failed a drug test before his canceled fight with Chris Eubank Jr.
It was revealed that a few days before the scheduled fishing campaign, which will take place on the 8th of October, a “bad analysis of the amount of fertility drugs” was revealed in one of Benn’s tests by the Anti-Doping Association VADA ).
The BBOC has ‘banned’ the Eubank Jr fight, which will take place at The O2, saying the fight is “not for the benefit of boxing”.
A new statement released by the BBC on Wednesday said: “The BBofC has summoned Conor Benn to attend a hearing on allegations of misconduct as per rule 25.1.1. The hearing was held on October 21, 2022. On the morning of the hearing, Mr. Benn personally surrendered his BBBofC license.
“According to its rules and regulations, the commission assessed the allegations after the hearing that Mr. Benn received according to law.
“The allegations against Mr. Benn have been accepted.”
Benn’s prosecutor Eddie Hearn insisted that a statement would be forthcoming from the 26-year-old explaining the failed drug test.
Hearn told talkSPORT on Wednesday: “In the next, I would think, 48 hours you will see a full statement from Conor Benn about this case with all the facts confirmed.
“Suddenly Conor Benn is considered guilty without feeling any kind, because that’s how he works in this situation and sometimes that’s good, but he has a big fight on his hands to try to save his job. “

In early October, former middleweight world champion Nigel Benn defended his son, Conor, after the fight was postponed and insisted he was a “clean athlete”.
“I’ve been with my son for the past 10 weeks and the training has gone the best it could have,” Benn Sr said in an Instagram video on Friday. “I love my son, I know he doesn’t [sic] no cut, straight to it, 100%. He is a loyal coach and a clean player.”
Benn himself appeared to be lashing out at the media coverage of the UKAD investigation via his Instagram story on October 7, in which he quoted a famous quote by human rights activist Malcolm X.
