Shaw’s mother Nova, and father Rod Shaw are currently awaiting the coroner’s report. In addition, they are negotiating with the consulate to return his body to the UK. As reported by the York Press, Rod Shaw stated that they still do not know what caused the death.

Rod added, “He was a strong swimmer – I taught him to swim at Water World in York when he was two-and-a-half years old and he got up to nine out of eleven levels. He was a fit boy. He was a good boxer too he had four fights. He won them all, but then Covid hit and he had to put it aside.”
