Anthony Joshua is still confident that a fight with WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury will happen in the future even though the ‘Gyspy King’ says he will never face him now.
Joshua said there was too much “back and forth” between him and Fury to sit down and try to negotiate on December 3. Also, he showed there that he missed the deadline set by Fury, which makes the fight impossible now.
At the moment, Joshua is not sure if he will sing next and fight with Dilian Whyte or someone else.
Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn has been pushing for AJ to fight Dilian Whyte in his second fight in 2023, but it’s a match he has nothing to gain.
With Whyte catching Chisora 2.0 earlier this year against Fury. Joshua has nothing to say to him except for money and success. If money is not the issue, Joshua should focus on fighting a top heavyweight like Frank Sanchez, Joe Joyce, or Filip Hrgovic next.
In Fury’s case, he is very ambitious and may change his mind about not wanting to fight Joshua in the near future.
If Fury moves towards a fight against 38-year-old former British goalkeeper Derek Chisora, he will be begging to fight Joshua next year.
