Nigerian Grammy Award winning Afrobeat artist, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun professionally known as Wizkid, has put Nigeria back on the world map after his hit duet with American singer Chris Brown, ‘Call Me Every Day’ was nominated in two categories at the 2022 Soul Train Music Awards.

Chris Brown’s Call Me Everyday, which featured Wizkid, was nominated in the Best Collaboration and Best Dance Performance categories.

In the Best Collaboration category, Call Me Everyday was nominated for Amazing (Mary J. Blige ft. DJ Khaled), Be Like Water (feat. PJ Morton ft. Stevie Wonder & NAS), Gotta Move On (feat. DD ft. Bryson Tiller), Hate Our Love (feat. Queen Niger Big Sean), Let Me Say It Again (Girl feat. Roland Isley & the Isley Brothers Beyonce), Move (feat. Grace Jones & Thames by Beyoncé), and Slow (Tank feat. J. Valentine).

The latest nomination brings Wizkid’s career Soul Train Music Award nominations to 11, making him the most nominated African artist of all time.
