The 11th Gaon Chart Music Awards took place on January 27 at Jamsil Arena, hosted by JaeJae, STAYC’s Sieun, and NCT’s Doyoung.
The Gaon Chart Music Awards are primarily based on the commercial performance of songs and albums based on the National Gaon Music Chart. Artist of the Year is divided into digital music and physical album categories. The song with the most digital downloads and streams per month from December 2020 to November 2021 was awarded the Digital Music Award. The Physical Album Award was given to the album with the highest sales in each quarter during the same period
