Let’s make a deal Host Wayne Brady — who is currently competing for the Mirror Ball trophy dancing with the stars — will host the 2022 American Music Awards. The show will air live on ABC on Sunday, November 20, and stream on Hulu the following day.

“I am delighted and honored to host this year’s AMAs. As a musician and music lover, it’s amazing to be a part of a night where music fans make their voices heard!” Brady said in a statement. “It’s a big show, so I’m bringing it all… the fun, the music and the moves!”

“Wayne Brady is without a doubt one of the most talented people on earth and we’re thrilled to have him host this year’s AMAs,” said executive producer and showrunner Jesse Collins. “Audiences should expect an incredible night of music, comedy and fun!”

Brady follows a long line of comedians who have graced the AMAs. Previous hosts include Cedric the Entertainer, Jimmy Kimmel, Eddie Murphy, Tracee Ellis Ross and Norm McDonald. Cardi B did it last year.

The 2022 American Music Awards winners are voted on entirely by fans. Nominees are based on fan interaction – as reflected Billboard Charts – including streaming, album and song sales, radio airplay and tour gross. This is tracked by measurement Billboard and its data partner Luminate, and covers the eligibility period from September 24, 2021 to September 22, 2022.
