The upcoming Mellon Music Awards (MMA) 2022 have announced their performer lineup!
The first lineup of performers included girl groups (G)I-DLE, IVE, and NewJeans.
This year, (G)I-DLE hit after hit, with both “Tomboy” and “NXD” instantly topping the Mellon Top 100 chart.
“Monster Rookies” IVE made an explosive debut last year with “Eleven” and continued to promote with “Love Dive” and “After Like.” All the songs have made impressive debuts on the Mellon charts and have been steady and consistent at the top spot.
For the first time by a girl group, NewJeans took the top two spots on Mellon’s TOP100 chart with “Attention” and “Hype Boy”. “Attention” became the fastest girl group debut song to reach No. 1 on the chart.
MMA’s second lineup includes boy groups MONSTA X, TXT, ENHYPEN, and ATBO.
After releasing “Rush Hour” last November, MONSTA X proved their strength as global artists by touring around the United States.
With their mini album “Minisode 2: Thursday’s Child”, TXT showcased their popularity and mature music sound. Recently, the group completed their first world tour where they played 19 concerts in 13 different cities.
ENHYPEN recently met fans all over the world on their first world tour, starting in Seoul, visiting six cities in the United States, then visiting Japan.
ATBO will be making their first MMA appearance after debuting with “Monochrome (Color)” in July. Through this performance, they will highlight their potential and make the audience more excited to see what is to come in their career.
The Mellon Music Awards 2022 is returning as an offline event after three years and will be held on November 26 at the Gocheok Sky Dome. Check out all the nominees here!
