Phineas warns fans after bike crash: ‘I feel very lucky to still be here’ | Biden News

Phineas, the genius behind some of Billie Eilish’s hits, announced via Instagram that he had a serious accident while riding his e-bike the previous week, which required surgery.

The 25-year-old musician took to the social media platform to share a picture of his chest X-ray. But according to him, it was just one of his many injuries.

“Last Friday, I had the pleasure of crashing my electric bike, flying over the handlebars and sustaining a radial head fracture in my right elbow in addition to completely breaking my collarbone,” the singer-songwriter and producer wrote.

He added, “The intensity of the displacement [his] collarbone” required surgery, however, she assured fans, “I’m on the other side now and I feel great!”

He thanked the team behind his surgery and recovery and added a shout out to his family and his girlfriend of four years, Claudia Sulewski, “for dropping everything to take care of me a second time.”

Moral of the story

After the gruesome incident, Phineas had one big way out of the whole ordeal—wearing a helmet.

“As stupid as I felt after the fall, my prevailing emotion was gratitude. You see, I wasn’t wearing a helmet,” he wrote.

“Learning is forever. I feel lucky to still be here. Take care, [and] Thank your body for what it does for you. See you all again soon.”

According to reports, there are many other artistes who have been seriously injured after falling off their bikes. In 2014, U2 frontman Bono suffered an arm injury after a bike accident in New York’s Central Park; Ed Sheeran was involved in a bike accident in 2017, breaking his arm after a car hit his bike and he was thrown from the bike.

Additionally, if fans are worried about his appearance at Eilish’s Los Angeles show, “Hometown Encore,” on December 13, 15 and 16, don’t worry, as Phineas has assured fans that he will be there.

“I’ve been told with hard work, I’ll be able to play Billy’s Forum show in December, for which I’m grateful,” he wrote.
