The Recording Academy will announce the nominees for the 65th Annual Grammy Awards on Nov. 15 at 11 a.m. CT.

Shortlists will be announced in all 91 categories for the awards, and the event will be broadcast live on live.Grammy.com and on the Academy’s social media accounts. Presenters will be announced in due course, and immediately following the presentation, the full list of nominees will be published on the Grammy website.

The awards show will return to the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 5. This year’s event Held for the first time in Las Vegas, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, with South African comedian Trevor Noah as host. Singer, songwriter, and bandleader Jon Batiste won the most awards, with five, with 11 nominations.

Five new categories

The 2023 show will be broadcast live on CBS and streamed live and on-demand on Paramount+ at 7pm CT. Among several changes that took effect in June are five new categories for the 2023 awards. These are Songwriters of the Year, Non-Classical; Best Alternative Music Performance; Best Americana Performance; Best score soundtracks for video games and other interactive media; and Best Spoken Word Poetry Album. There will be a new Special Merit Award for Best Song for Social Change, given to a song that addresses a timely social issue and promotes understanding, peace-building and compassion.

Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. said: “We are very excited to celebrate this year’s Grammy nominees, all of whom have contributed to music throughout the year. With the addition of five new categories and a new, diverse voting cast, we look forward to honoring all this incredible music and the people who make it.”
