The 2022 American Music Awards 17-time AMA winner Lionel Richie will pay tribute, and P!nk will honor 10-time AMA winner Olivia Newton-John with a special performance of one of Newton-John’s most popular songs. Olivia Newton-John died on August 8, 2022 after a long battle with breast cancer.
Two-time AMA winner Stevie Wonder and two-time AMA nominee Charlie Puth will perform a medley of Richie’s songs. Singer/songwriter Ari Lennox will also be in attendance to pay tribute to this year’s Icon Award recipient.
Additional newly announced performers include Anita, David Guetta, Dove Cameron, Gloriala and Lil Baby. Carrie Underwood, Imagine Dragons, JID, Yola and house DJ De-Nice were confirmed to take the stage for the 50th anniversary. American Music Awards.

Wayne Brady has been tapped to host this year’s awards show, airing live on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at 8pm ET/PT (tape-delayed on the West Coast) on ABC.
