The 14th edition of Smule Mirchi Music Awards 2022 was held on the eve of March 7 and March 8. Many famous singers like Neha Kakkar, Meet Bros, Neeti Mohan, Sonu Nigam, gave spectacular performances at the song gala event.

Ahead of the awards, the singing stars surprised everyone with their stunning appearance at the SMMA 2022 red carpet event.

Apart from the singing community, Bollywood actors Taapsee Pannu, Prateek Gandhi, Karisma Kapoor, and Vidya Balan were also spotted on the red carpet, Miss India 2020 winner and Miss World 2021 contestant Manasa Varanasi also attended the show.

SMMA 2022 is hosted by Melody King Sonu Nigam, joined by singing sensation Neha Bhasin and singer Mian Chang as co-hosts. It also marks Sonu Nigam’s 8th show as host of Mirchi Music Awards This year’s music awards are presented by Malabar Gold and Diamonds.

Smule Mirchi Music Awards 2022 was telecast on 27 March 2022 (Sunday) at 9 PM on pay television channel Color. This is the fifth time Colors will host the annual song awards, earlier the channel aired the 4th, 5th, 6th and 13th editions of the awards show.

The award show witnessed rocking performances from popular singers like Lucky Ali, Neha Kakkar, Rohanpreet etc. It pays homage to legendary singers late Bappi Lahiri and Lata Mangeshkar of Indian Disco King and Nightingale respectively.

Music-composer Meet Bros along with singer Khusbu Garewal paid tribute to Bappi Lahiri while hosts Sonu Nigam Shruti Pathak, Sneha Shankar and Jonita Gandhi paid tribute to Lata Mangeshkar with their beautiful voices.

The most awards were won by the Shershah album which was the biggest soundtrack of 2021, the fastest Indian music album to cross 1 billion streams across all music platforms.
