LOS ANGELES, Calif., USA, Oct. 18, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ — Born and raised in Iran, Shahed Mohseni is an award-winning musician and has used art and music through various mediums to address important issues over the past decade, such as love, Unity, peace and even social and educational concerns. Founded in 2011 by Shahed Mohseni, the Intercontinental Music Awards (ICMA) is committed to upholding musical diversity and promoting unity among all peoples of the world while embracing values that elevate humanity.

This is ICMA’s message to those who stand on the wrong side of history: “Lay down your arms, think twice, you cannot rewind time. Serve humanity”.

The Intercontinental Music Awards is a Los Angeles-based music competition and concert that annually awards and recognizes musical talent from around the world. The award continental system allows musicians from around the world to be recognized and rewarded for their artistic endeavors regardless of their location, gender, race, nationality, caste or ethnicity. Shahed started live concerts a decade ago to bring international musicians together in the Mediterranean where he studied at the Eastern Mediterranean University. He eventually moved to Los Angeles to expand operations. He explained, “Today’s world suffers from discrimination, oppression, violence and war. Most of these conflicts are a direct result of people’s lack of knowledge in understanding each other. If people understand and accept each other for who they really are, it will be much easier to conclude that all people have equal rights to live, to enjoy life with equal opportunities.”
The ICMAs recognized many artists and crews of more than 45 nationalities, from East-Asia to the Mediterranean Rim, Europe, Africa and the Americas. In February 2019, Music Connection magazine said this about the ICMAs: “A music award without borders, a music award that unites all continents, a music award dedicated to all artists.”
