Rapper and songwriter, Black Sheriff, walked home with the ultimate award as Best Artiste of 2022 at the just concluded Ghana Music Awards UK.

After a tough competition, Black Sheriff was adjudged the winner after beating eight Ghanaian artistes to win the Most Talented Award.

He defeated Sarkodie, Stoneboy, King Promise, Akwaboh, Kwami Eugene, Diana Hamilton, Celestine Donkor and Kiddy.

In addition to the Artist of the Year award, Black Sheriff earned bragging rights as Best New Artist along with Highlife/Hip Hop Song of the Year.

His credit came courtesy of his 2022 release, Kweku the Traveller, a song from his debut studio album, The ‘Villian I Never Was’.

The awards were received on his behalf as he is currently on a promotional tour for his album in Ghana.
