As Calgary prepares to roll out the red carpet for the 2022 CCMA Awards presented by TD, today the Canadian Country Music Association® (CCMA) revealed this year’s nominees. Proving that Alberta is the perfect place to celebrate the best of Canadian country music, 12 Alberta artists have been nominated in today’s announcements, three of whom are CCMA Award nominees for the first time. Winners will be announced on September 11. The 2022 CCMA Awards presented by TD will be broadcast live from Calgary, AB on Global at 8 pm ET.
Adding to the excitement, the CCMA today announced the first round of performers for the 2022 CCMA Awards presented by TD — Jade Eagleson, High Valley, Brett Kissel ft. 98°, Mackenzie Porter, Dallas Smith and Tennille Townes.

Topping today’s announcement with seven nominations are Tenille Townes (Amazon Music and Alexa Fans’ Choice Awards, Spotify Female Artist of the Year Award, Single of the Year, Ford F-150 Album of the Year Award, Video of the Year, Songwriter) of the Year, Entertainer of the Year), followed closely by Jedd Eagleson who this year celebrated the most nominations in the same year of his career (six — Amazon Music and Alexa Fans’ Choice Awards, Male Artist of the Year, Ford F-150 Album of the Year Award, Album of the Year video). The James Barker Band earned nominations in five 2022 categories (Amazon Music and Alexa Fans’ Choice Awards, Single of the Year, Group or Duo of the Year, Interactive Artist(s) of the Year and Entertainer of the Year) while both Dean Brody ( Amazon Music and Alexa Fan Choice Award, Male Artist of the Year, Video of the Year) and Brett Kissel (Amazon Music and Alexa Fan Choice Award, Male Artist of the Year, Entertainer of the Year) each celebrate four 2022 nominations. did
Presented by Ford, one of the CCMA’s longest-standing partners, the 2022 Ford F-150 Album of the Year category will feature Don Amero (Nothing Means), Gord Bamford (Diamonds in a Whiskey Glass), Jade Eagleson (Honkytonk Revival), Meghan Patrick ( Heart on My Glass) and Tennille Townes (Masquerades) compete to take home the crown for one of the most sought-after awards of the night.
Spotify has partnered with CCMA for the first time in EQUAL 2022, presenting the Spotify Female Artist of the Year category. Spotify’s EQUAL program was created to demonstrate its commitment to increasing equity for women in audio and celebrate their global contributions. This year will see Tennille Arts, Lindsey Ell, Megan Patrick, Robin Ottolini and Tennille Towns competing for the win in Calgary.
Chosen by country music lovers across Canada, fan-driven Amazon Music and Alexa Fan Choice nominees were also announced today and include Tennile Arts, Dean Brody, Jade Eagleson, High Valley, James Barker Band, Brett Kissel, Tyler Joe Miller, Robyn has Ottolini, Dallas Smith and Tennille Towns.
