Playback singer Armaan Malik, known for songs like Bol Do Na Zara, Jab Tak and Chale Aana, has been awarded the 2022 MTV Europe Music Award for Best India Act for his English single U.
The singer won the award for the second time after her debut single, Control, won the MTV EMA in the same category in 2020.
Armaan Malik attended the award ceremony in Dusseldorf, Germany, where he was presented with the award.
Reacting to his win, Armaan Malik said in a statement, “I am humbled and delighted to win my second EMA! ‘Tumi’ is a special record for me and it’s heartwarming to be recognized on such a prestigious global platform.”
The singer expressed his gratitude to his fans and well-wishers, who voted for him in overwhelming numbers. “I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the fans and well-wishers who voted for me. The amount of love and support I have received from Armenians around the world is truly unprecedented and fills me with gratitude. It’s for them, my family and my country.”
