Music awards season is here and fans are buzzing about the nominations for the American Music Awards (AMAs) 2021. This year, global popstars Olivia Rodrigo and The Weeknd lead the way with the most nominations. Rodrigo received a total of seven nominations in various categories, while The Weeknd received six.
Korean all-boy pop band, BTS, received a major nomination this year: under its main category, Artist of the Year.

Trending artists Doja Cat, Bad Bunny and Givon each received five nominations, while regulars Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande were nominated for major categories such as Artist of the Year and Favorite Male Pop Artist of the Year.
The main event of the American Music Awards 2021 will reportedly take place on Sunday, November 21 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
