Alison Russell shared a music video for her Brandi Carlile-assisted single, “You’re Not Alone.”
Russell and Carlyle have been wowing live audiences for the past month with their upbeat and upbeat singles. They debuted the song in September with a performance at the Americana Music Association Awards where Russell won Album of the Year for his acclaimed 2021 LP, outside child.
They performed “You’re Not Alone” at recent shows at Madison Square Garden in Carlisle and TD Center in Boston, and at their show at Red Rocks Amphitheater in August—where they also shot the music video. The single has been in the top 10 of the Americana radio chart for six weeks and counting.
And for Russell outside child, the incredible list of accolades continues to grow. These include two International Folk Music Awards, a Juno nomination for 2022 “Songwriter of the Year” and his first Juno Award for Contemporary Roots Album of the Year.
Last year, Russell received three Canadian Folk Music Awards, two UK Americana Music Awards, two 2021 Americana Award nominations (his first Grammy nods), in addition to this year’s win and three Grammy Award nominations. Alison Russell has a selection of dates throughout the fall, including a stop at The Troubadour in Los Angeles on November 15.
