The Fraser Valley Music Awards were presented July 21 in Abbotsford, honoring groups and individuals in 16 categories.

The presentation took place during the weekly Jam in Jubilee concert series at Jubilee Park. Several of the nominees performed throughout the evening.

The results of the Dakota Leslie Memorial Fan Vote were also released, with Surrey’s Moontock taking first place and nearly $900.

Etienne Siu of Coquitlam was selected by the Mission Folk Music Fest to perform at the 2023 festival.

• Jeffrey Wang of Abbotsford – singer-songwriter

• Rebecca Sichon of Mission – RN B

• Brennan Sinclair of Abbotsford – Roots/Blues

• Josh Maitre of Barnaby – Youth Artist

• Natalie Faith of Abbotsford – Female Artist

• Vancouver/Fraser Valley Small Handed Dreams – BIMPOC Artists

• Chris Silver and family of the Sumas First Nation – Indigenous artists

• Sammy Morelli of Richmond – Weird artist

The Fraser Valley Music Awards are held annually by CIVL-FM Radio.
