Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Haven’t gotten admission to an MBA college yet? Do not be disappointed. The first round of college-level counseling (CLC) for admission in the MBA will start from 19 October.
This year, the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has allowed four rounds of counseling for entry into the MBA program.
The first two rounds are online and the last two rounds are CLC.
In the first round, candidates who have taken the general management entrance test (CMAT) are allowed to participate in counselling. In the second round, both CMAT and non-CMAT candidates are allowed to attend counselling.
Allotment of seats for the second round of counseling was conducted on October 11, with the deadline for submission of fees until October 18.
The deadline ends on Tuesday. Allotted seats for students, who are allocated seats in b-schools, will be canceled if they fail to submit fees within the stipulated time limit.
A round of CLC will be held for seats that remain vacant after two rounds of counseling. The registration for the first round of CLC will be held on 19-21 October and the outreach will be held on 22 October.
Registration for the second round of CLC will be held on 23-25 October after which seat allocation will be made.
The second round of counseling will mark the end of acceptance of the MBA in the state. There are more than 10,000 seats in 60 MBA colleges in the city. About 60 seats have been filled at b-schools in the city so far.
There are no scholarships for students accepted through CLC
For the past two years, the quota of MBA students has not received a scholarship, for reasons that are best known for their strength.
This year, DTE has issued several guidelines for awarding scholarships. As per the guidelines, the maximum age limit for obtaining scholarships for SC-ST and OBC students is 30 years or less.
For students, there should be a maximum gap of two years between graduation and PG studies. Students taking admission in the CLC round will not be considered eligible for the scholarship.
Every college must record student attendance through biometrics.
