2023 Chevrolet Colorado vs. Ford Ranger: Engine and Performance
For 2023, Chevrolet redesigned the Colorado and equipped it with the same 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that’s also found in the Silverado 1500. However, all trims come with the same 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, but Chevrolet offers it with three different tunings . The engine in WT and LT produces 237 hp. and 259 lb-ft of torque. The more expensive Z71 and Trail Boss trims get a more powerful 2.7-liter Turbo Plus engine that produces 310 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. The cabin of the 2023 Colorado looks spectacular for a pickup truck. The cabin looks great and classy thanks to its careful execution. Rear seats have 38.3 inches of headroom and 34.7 inches of legroom. Thus, they provide excellent comfort even for muscular cowboys.
The Ford Ranger, however, offers a practical cabin. The quality of the material is strong, but they lack plushness. Most of the cabin is made of hard plastic, and it won’t impress buyers looking for a high-end cabin. However, you do get a large portrait-style display for entertainment and a digital instrument cluster. Similar to previous years, the 2023 Ford Ranger will be available in SuperCab and SuperCrew models, which means that the interior will be able to accommodate 4 or 5 people and the same space as previous model years.
