After taking over the reigns, heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk won the 2022 WBO heavyweight title.
Oleksandr Usyk – Fighter of the Year
Usyk defeated the retired Tyson Fury in August after dominating Anthony Joshua for the second time.
In the process, the Ukrainian heavyweight won the prestigious belt that Rocky vacated after Fury decided to hang up his gloves.
Fury came out of retirement days later.
“Malam I am Very Feel” attended the awards ceremony in what should be a regular occurrence for Usyk this year.
The fact that Usyk went to war for his country, went out, and held the world heavyweight title before returning is something to be proud of.
