Canelo Alvarez Awaits Bivol Vs. Ramirez Results On November 5th Before He Decides Next Fight | Biden News

By Sean Jones: Canelo Alvarez is awaiting the results of the November 5 fight between WBA heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol and Gilbero ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez before deciding who he will fight next May.

Canelo (58-2-2, 39 KOs) lost to Bivol last May in Las Vegas, but after the Mexican star initially said he wanted to meet again soon to try and get revenge for the loss, he later changed his mind and decided to fight. Gennady Golovkin.

Now, Canelo is saying that for Bivol to get a rematch, he must defeat WBA mandatory Zurdo Ramirez (44-0, 30 KOs) on November 5th. If Bivol loses, he can forget about a rematch with Canelo.

Canelo seems to have turned things around like Bivol needs to get a fight with him for some odd reason.

Canelo initially wanted to fight Bivol right away to get revenge for what he did, but now he has changed things.

This writer’s opinion is that Canelo really doesn’t want to face Bivol again and is just looking for an excuse not to fight him again. So, Canelo is looking for Zurdo Ramirez to beat him on November 5th.

“I have spoken with Eddy Reynoso many times. The deadline is November 5. One of the best fights of the year, Bivol-Ramirez,” said Eddie Hearn to the DAZN Boxing Show when asked about who Canelo Alvarez will fight next.

If it’s really about Canelo wanting to avenge his loss, it doesn’t matter if Bivol loses his fight against Ramirez. Canelo will still fight Bivol in a way to erase his burned image in the eyes of the boxing public if he gets schooled.

The only way Canelo will prove that his loss to Bivol is a shocker is to fight him again, regardless of what happens on November 5th.

Hearn continued: “It’s going to be an amazing fight in Abu Dhabi, a big card.” Canelo would love for Ramirez to win, his fellow Mexican, but I also think that deep down he hopes that Bivol will win so that they can meet again.

“This is a great fight for the division and a great fight for boxing. I can tell you a lot after this fight. I agree with that. It’s about his neck, but I believe so,” Hearn said when asked if he thought Canelo would fight in May.
